Description
Shadow Man is a 1999 action-adventure video game developed by Acclaim Studios Teesside and published by Acclaim Entertainment. It is based on the Shadow Man comic book series published by Valiant Comics. The game was released for Nintendo 64, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation on August 31, 1999, with a Dreamcast version following on December 1. The game was re-released in September 2013 by Nightdive Studios for Windows and OS X via digital distribution services. The studio later developed a remastered version with improved graphics and restored content, which was released for Windows in April 2021 and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in January 2022. Shadow Man received positive reviews, with praise for its graphics, story, and presentation. However, the PlayStation version was negatively received for its poor technical performance. A sequel, Shadow Man: 2econd Coming, was released for PlayStation 2 in 2002. Another game starring Jack Boniface, Shadowman: Darque Legacy, was announced in 2023.
