Description
The Death and Return of Superman is a side-scrolling beat 'em up video game released by Sunsoft for the Super NES and Genesis. It is based on "The Death of Superman" comic book storyline by DC Comics and features many characters from the comics, including Superman himself, Superboy, Steel, Cyborg Superman, the Eradicator, and Doomsday. All of the five Supermen are playable characters at some point. Gameplay, and visually, the Genesis and Super NES versions are near identical, however, each version's soundtracks are radically different from one another.(The next section is more comic based but the comic is the game) The death and return of superman as the name implies is a story about superman meeting his end and returning due to exhaustion and fatal injuries sustained while fighting the monster known as Doomsday then he returns by The Eradicator (a kryptonian device) steals superman’s body and places it in the rejuvenation matrix in the fortress of solitude then the chamber uses soler power to heal him then he gets revived with a black suit and a silver S
